1.1 Personal Data

When you create an account as a Client or a Contractor, we collect:

  • Email Address: Used for authentication and account management.
  • Name / Business Name: Used to identify you within the platform.
  • Location Data: Clients provide job addresses to receive accurate quotes. Contractors may provide service area locations.
  • Payment Information: Processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your full credit card or bank account details on our servers.

1.2 Job & Interaction Data

To provide our core marketplace services, we process:

  • Job Details & Photos: Information, descriptions, and media uploaded by clients to outline the required work.
  • Chat Messages: In-app communications between clients and contractors to coordinate jobs securely.
  • Reviews & Ratings: Public feedback provided after a job is completed.

1.3 AI Processing

When clients request a variation to a job's scope of work, the proposed changes are sent to an AI service (Google Gemini API) to generate a clean, revised, and legally structured Scope of Work document. This data is not used to train global AI models.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Facilitate connections between clients and verified contractors.
  • Process secure payments and contractor payouts via Stripe Connect.
  • Send push notifications regarding job bids, messages, and project updates.
  • Maintain trust and safety on the platform through review monitoring and administrative oversight.

3. Data Protection & Security

  • Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/SSL.
  • Authentication: We use Google Firebase Authentication to ensure account security.
  • Financial Security: All financial and payout information is tokenized and stored securely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services:

  • Google Firebase: For secure database storage, authentication, and cloud functions.
  • Stripe: For secure payment processing, credit card holds, and contractor bank payouts.
  • Expo Application Services: For delivering push notifications to your device.

5. Your Rights & Account Deletion

You have the right to control your data:

  • Access Your Data: You can view all your active jobs, bids, and profile information within the app.
  • Delete Your Account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the app by navigating to the Profile tab and tapping "Delete Account".
